Hi, and a warm welcome to my beautiful world of Craniosacral Therapy. If you have landed here, I look forward to supporting you in achieving health for your mind and body. A little about me: I grew up on a farm with lots of animals, yes, it was a bit of an old McDonald's farm with my parents also being quite organic and growing small crops. Goat's milk was on the menu, and we lived off the land. It was not an easy life, but it taught me independence, resilience, and to be connected to the land.   This life has delivered me into some huge life lessons. Yes, they happened to me, but they have taught me that I get to choose what I do with these lessons. Life happens to me, but I am not what happened to me; I am what I choose to be. I make life happen for me. Yes, lemons can be made into lemonade. I am passionate about my work and care deeply about the people I meet and work with. Because we were all born equal and worthy of all life has to offer. I won't go into the deep darkness of my experiences, not because I cant but I just want to give you a glimpse of where I have been and where I am coming from. I have done and experienced hard things, and you can as well. You can be the diamond, lotus or phoenix that rises from life. I was beside my brother when he was seriously burned 70% of his body. 9 months is the Brisbane burns unit. My second daughter Jasmin, was born with a heart condition and passed away at 18 days old in my arms. I have lost a home. Seen suicide and experienced the trauma of trying to keep someone alive. Experienced anxiety and depression. Yes, I have been diagnosed with complex PTSD, but words don’t define my choices. There is much more, but this is not a list of poor me, but just to say I see you and I am here for you. I've learned I can't save people, but I can be the rock to support you. In my work life, I have always been in caring roles, pharmacy, childcare, narrative therapy and body-based therapy. I will go into more detail about how I came to be working at the table in the beautiful world of craniosacral therapy in further blogs.
